Reliever Eddie Guardado and the Rangers agreed Friday to a $2 million, one-year contract that allows him to make an additional $4 million in performance bonuses.

The two-time All-Star came back for the final two months of last season with Cincinnati after having elbow ligament-replacement surgery in 2006. The left-hander had no record and a 7.24 ERA in 15 appearances for the Reds.
