A blog that is no longer available on Chicago Tribune by Phil Rogers indicated that a Brian Roberts trade to the Cubs was very likely.

The Orioles and Cubs have been discussing a deal since mid-December.

A team spokesman told the Baltimore Sun he just contacted president Andy MacPhail, who insisted that the rumor is "very inaccurate." The Sun's Dan Connolly just spoke with MacPhail, who said nothing has changed since last night.
