The New York Mets have finalized a one-year, $850,000 deal for pitcher Duaner Sanchez, announced on Monday.

Sanchez missed all of last season after undergoing right shoulder surgery to repair a hairline bone fracture.

In his first year with the Mets during the 2006 campaign, Sanchez posted a record of 5-1 with a 2.60 earned run average in 49 appearances. He had 44 strikeouts and 24 walks in 55 1/3 innings as the primary set-up man for closer Billy Wagner.
