The Cardinals on Friday re-signed infielder Aaron Miles, handing the versatile switch-hitter a one-year contract.
Miles, 31, played 133 games for the Cardinals in 2007, manning five different positions including two appearances as a pitcher.
"Aaron has shown a great deal of versatility with our club over the past two years," said Cardinals' GM John Mozeliak.
