Kings coach Rick Adelman told the media Wednesday he would watch Chris Webber participate in practice Thursday, then alert folks about the possibility of the forward playing tonight against the two-time defending world champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Either the coach forgot he had planned a trip to see his new granddaughter in Portland or he knew he was going and thought it would be funny to mess with the media.
