The Red Sox will open the defense of their World Series crown in Japan next season with a two-game series against the Athletics, Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday.

The two games will be played on March 25 and 26 at the Tokyo Dome and will mark the third time Major League Baseball has opened the season in Tokyo.
