Minnesota free agent Carlos Silva is looking for a Ted Lilly-sized four-year, $40 million deal and reportedly has been offered only $20 million over three years to stick around. Losing Silva won't make it easier to trade young pitching for lineup help, such as the Rays' B.J. Upton or Delmon Young.
