Greg Maddux has collected almost as much gold as Fort Knox.

Maddux, who just re-signed with the Padres for the 2008 season, on Tuesday collected a record 17th Gold Glove Award to headline the group of 2007 NL winners.

The 41-year-old Maddux has won 17 times in the last 18 years, losing out to Mike Hampton of the Braves in 2003.
