First baseman Jeff Bagwell, recovering from surgery on an arthritic right shoulder, struck out twice and flied out to left field Wednesday night in his first injury rehabilitation appearance with the Corpus Christi Hooks. He was happy with the effort, though. "I felt all right," Bagwell said in a story in Thursday's Corpus Christi Caller-Times. "[Today] will be a good [gauge] of how I feel. With the adrenaline, it's tough to tell what your pain level is, but it wasn't too bad. Physically, I didn't go to my knees in pain, so it's all good so far."
