The Twins are going to pick up Joe Nathan's $6 million option for the 2008 season in the coming days, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on its Web site on Wednesday night.

Nathan confirmed to the paper that the two sides are in the process of making it official.

"We're just waiting for some paperwork," Nathan told the paper while playing in a charity golf tournament in Tennessee.
