After two years on the sidelines, Mel Stottlemyre is back in baseball.

The former Yankees' pitching coach was among four coaches named Monday to the coaching staff of the Mariners.

Also joining the staff for the 2008 season under manager John McLaren are bench coach Jim Riggleman, bullpen coach Norm Charlton and first base coach Eddie Rodriguez.
