Robinson Cano doesn't have quite the same credentials as some of his teammates - like Mariano Rivera, for instance - who have called for Joe Torre's return, but the second baseman still stood up for his manager.

Not only would Cano like to see Torre back, but despite having finished another season in disappointing fashion, Cano doesn't want anything to change.

"I hope to have the same team back," Cano said outside of Yankee Stadium yesterday, his boxes packed for another long offseason. "We have some good players; we played a good season. We didn't make it all the way through, but it was a great season."

"We went through a bad situation, but we came back and pulled the team together," Cano said. "He is, for me, the best manager. He's a great manager to play for, and we'd love to have him back."
