TBS' coverage of the American League and National League Division Championship Series helped secure its highest-rated week ever. According to Nielsen Media Research live-plus-same-day ratings data, TBS averaged a record 5.32 million total viewers for the week ended Oct. 7, thanks to its lineup of playoff baseball. Of the top 10 programs on ad-supported cable last week, the Turner net chalked up eight, hitting a high note Sunday night with game three of the New York Yankees-Cleveland Indians series (8.46 million viewers). TBS? ALDS games yielded the greatest viewer interest by far, as the three Yanks-Tribe matchups placed second, third and fourth on the week with an average delivery of 7.54 million viewers, while the first two Boston Red Sox-Anaheim Angels contests landed in the fifth- and sixth-place spots. |
