Tigers outfielder Gary Sheffield will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on Monday.

Sheffield hurt the shoulder during an outfield collision on July 21 and was hampered by the injury for much of the rest of the season.

Dr. John Uribe, who will perform the surgery, told team officials that Sheffield should recover fully by spring training.
