Mets Likely To Make A Run At Santana This Winter?

Pioneer Press - Considering the New York Mets' late-season collapse, there is little doubt that general manager Omar Minaya will make a run at Twins two-time Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana this winter.

Retaining Santana, who can become a free agent following the 2008 season, probably would cost the Twins $100 million over five years, or about 20 percent of their projected payroll. [READ]
