Joe Torre took the day off, turning the reins over to Jorge Posada, part of the manager's annual tradition in which he lets one of his veterans take charge for a day. "It means a lot," said Posada, who watched his team top the Orioles, 10-4, to finish the season 94-68. "I'm honored. A lot of guys have done this and they've done a hell of a job." "I couldn't do this every day," Posada said. "It was fun until I got here. Then they told me all the rules, the Joba Rules, the people that were active. It's a little tougher than you'd think." |
