The Yankees on Saturday activated Doug Mientkiewicz from the 60-day DL.

The Yankees also recalled Alberto Gonzalez and Jose Veras from Class AAA Scranton-Wilkes Barre, in addition to purchasing the contract of righthander Ian Kennedy from Scranton-Wilkes Barre.

Kennedy, 22, will make his major league debut on Saturday when he gets the start against the Devil Rays.
