The Mets placed infielder Damion Easley on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday with a sprained left ankle and recalled infielder Anderson Hernandez from Triple-A New Orleans. Easley hurt his ankle in the sixth inning of the Mets game with Washington on Saturday advancing to second on a wild pitch. He had X-rays and returned to New York on Sunday. He will have an MRI exam on Monday.
