The Red Sox called up Bobby Kielty from Triple-A Pawtucket on Saturday, giving them an experienced backup outfielder.

They optioned outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury to Pawtucket after he was recalled to play in Friday night's second game of a doubleheader against the Angels.
