Red Sox catcher Doug Mirabelli suffered an apparent right leg injury Friday afternoon and left after the first inning of the team's matinee contest with the Angels of Anaheim.

Mirabelli suffered the injury while rounding third base during the bottom of the first inning. After scoring on Alex Cora's double, Mirabelli limped toward the dugout. He was replaced by Jason Varitek to start the top of the second.
