Aaron Rowand was compared to Eric Byrnes when he first went to arbitration and the news of the Diamondbacks' outfielder's extension is good news for the Phillies centerfielder.

Byrnes signed a three-year, $10 million extension, which is in the neighborhood of what Rowand can expect.
