The Diamondbacks and Eric Byrnes have agreed on a three-year contract worth about $30 million, the East Valley Tribune reported, citing an unnamed source.
The team has called a 4:30 p.m. ET news conference to announce the deal, the newspaper reported.
The Diamondbacks had broken off talks with Byrnes eariler in the season, but talks resumed last week and quickly resulted in a deal, the newspaper reported.
