Pitcher Andrew Miller left Friday night's loss against Chicago with a mild left hamstring strain and is listed as day-to-day. Miller (5-4) threw several warm-up pitches in the top of the fifth inning, appearing in pain as he grabbed his leg. Catcher Pudge Rodriguez saw the wince and came to the mound, calling for assistant athletic trainer Steve Carter. "I felt it a couple of times earlier, and then I guess I threw it and just whatever I did pulled it a little bit too far," Miller said. "The last pitch I threw to Konerko is when I really did it, and I tried to go back out and it just wasn't right. I tried to stretch a little bit, thinking maybe it was just a cramp. I guess I winced and stretched a little bit, and that was when they came out there and decided to take me out of the game."
