Seth McClung never quite found his niche with the Devil Rays. They tried him at starter. They tried him in relief.

Now, he can try to fit in someplace else.

The Devil Rays traded the 26-year-old right-hander to Milwaukee on Friday for reliever Grant Balfour.

McClung, who spent the entire 2004 season on the disabled list after undergoing Tommy John surgery, parted ways with the Devil Rays with no malice toward the organization that made him a major-leaguer in 2003. He posted a 17-24 record with the club in 37 starts and 48 relief appearances.
