Carl Pavano's first season in pinstripes appears to be over, as the Yankees' right-hander was diagnosed with rotator cuff tendinitis, which was causing pain in his humerus bone.
The diagnosis was made by team physician Dr. Stuart Hershon and orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews, who examined Pavano this week in Birmingham, Ala.
