Taking a major step, but scarcely containing his excitement, Zumaya played catch in the bullpen with Fernando Rodney at Safeco Field. That's all, just a game of catch -- but Zumaya had been looking forward to it like a World Series appearance. "I didn't get any sleep, I was so excited," he said. "I never let my glove out of my sight." What the game of catch with Rodney represented was the beginning of Zumaya's throwing program that will eventually get him back on the mound for the Tigers.
