Barry Bonds hit his 749th career home run Friday night to move within six of tying Hank Aaron's career record of 755.

The San Francisco slugger connected on a 3-2 pitch from Scott Proctor in the eighth inning, hitting a line drive over the fence in right-center. It was his 15th homer of the season, but just his fourth since May 8. Bonds rounded the bases as "749" flashed on the main scoreboard.
