The Mariners signed two members of the Chinese National Baseball team to minor league contracts on Wednesday.

Both infielder-outfielder Yu Bing Jia and catcher Wei Wang will report to Seattle's Australian Summer League Team later this summer.

Wang, who is a 28-year-old catcher, has played 10 years of professional baseball in China and has led Beijing to six League Championships. He was the first player to homer in the WBC.

Jia, who is a 24-year-old infielder-outfielder, leads the China Baseball League in home runs this season.
