Tigers' pitcher Justin Verlander threw a no-hitter against the Brewers on Tuesday night. In nine shut-out innings, Verlander struck out twelve batters and walked four as Detroit cruised to a 4-0 victory.
This is the first no-hitter by a Tiger since Jack Morris did it in 1984.
Verlander, 24 years of age, improved to a record of 7-2 this season. He broke 100 MPH on the radar gun late in the final inning of his historic outing.
