Giants slugger Barry Bonds on Monday hit his 747th homer in the fourth inning against the Blue Jays.

It was the first homer in 13 games for Bonds, who climbed within eight homers of tying Hank Aaron's all-time mark of 755. Bonds had not homered since May 27 against the Rockies.

It was the 22-year veteran's 13th homer of the year and it tied the score at 3-3. The blast came off Blue Jays starter Josh Tower, who became the 439th different pitcher to surrender a homer to the seven-time National League MVP.
