It was the first homer in 13 games for Bonds, who climbed within eight homers of tying Hank Aaron's all-time mark of 755. Bonds had not homered since May 27 against the Rockies. It was the 22-year veteran's 13th homer of the year and it tied the score at 3-3. The blast came off Blue Jays starter Josh Tower, who became the 439th different pitcher to surrender a homer to the seven-time National League MVP. |
