The Red Sox on Saturday activated reliever Mike Timlin from the 15-day disabled list.
Timlin had been sidelined since May 3 with right shoulder tendinitis. He appeared in six games at Class AAA Pawtucket on a rehab assignment, compiling a 4.05 ERA.
