The Red Sox on Thursday signed veteran Michael Tucker to a minor-league contract.

Tucker will report to Class AAA Pawtucket of the International League.

The 35-year-old Tucker last played for the Mets in 2006, batting .196 with one homer and six RBI in 35 games.
