Justin Morneau broke his nose when struck in the face by a throw from Nick Punto on Saturday, as the Twins dropped their fourth straight game.

"Just tops it all out," said Morneau. He had his nose reset and planned to play on Sunday.

After a slow start, the defending AL champion Tigers have the AL's best batting average in May at .326. They are 11-1 over the last 12 games.
