Barry Bonds hit his 739th career home run Saturday, connecting for a leadoff shot in the second inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 42-year-old San Francisco slugger moved within 17 homers of breaking Hank Aaron's career record of 755 with his fifth homer of the season.
