Miguel Batista pitched into the seventh inning, Adrian Beltre hit his first homer of the season and the Mariners overcame Sammy Sosa's 590th career homer in an 8-3 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Sosa hit his second homer since 2005 -- a two-run shot in the sixth inning -- but Batista otherwise handled the Rangers' potent lineup. Batista allowed three runs and five hits in 6 2-3 innings.
