Commissioner Bud Selig, who attended the Diamondbacks' home opener Monday night, continued to suggest that Chase Field is a strong candidate to host an All-Star Game, with 2011 being the earliest realistic option. "They're very much in the running for it," Selig said during the Diamondbacks' TV broadcast. "I'm working on the next three or four years. I think the Diamondbacks' chances are pretty good, to say the least. They're actually better than pretty good. "But I want to, you know, when they eventually are able to announce it, I want it to be a surprise." |
