Angels outfielder Vladimir Guerrero and Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez were named co-winners of the first AL Player of the Week award for the 2007 season Monday.

In helping the Angels to a 5-2 start, Guerrero batted .440 (11-for-25) with three homers, 10 RBI and 23 total bases. It marked the 10th Player of the Week award in Guerrero's career.

Maligned by the New York media and fans, Rodriguez hit .381 (8-for-21) with a league-leading four homers and 11 RBI.
