The Reds activated Eric Milton from the 15-day disabled list and started the lefthander in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Milton was bothered by lower back spasms in spring training.

The Reds placed rookie righthander Jared Burton on the 15-day DL to make room on the roster for Milton. Burton has a strained left hamstring.
