Hideki Matsui left the New York Yankees' game against Baltimore on Saturday with a strained left hamstring.

Matsui hit a squibber in the second inning, then was pinch hit for in the fourth by Miguel Cairo, who took over in left field the next inning -- just his fifth outfield appearance since 2003.
