Because of the cold weather, David Ortiz watched much of Thursday's game from the clubhouse.

Ortiz couldn?t help but focus on the live feed from the field, where new teammate Daisuke Matsuzaka turned in an incredible effort in his major league debut. ?Every pitch he throws, when you watch on TV, is like a Nintendo game, man,? Ortiz said after the 4-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals. ?He throws pitches that just disappear at the plate.?
