The Vinny Castilla farewell tour started last summer in Colorado, continued with an emotional league championship this winter and will conclude Wednesday against Venezuela in Mexico's Caribbean Series finale at Roberto Clemente Walker Stadium.

After 16 seasons in the big leagues, almost 20 years of Mexican League play, and five Caribbean Series appearances, Castilla is officially calling it quits -- again. The next time he puts on a Mexican uniform after this week, it will be as manager because he definitely will not come as a player. Castilla retired as a Major League player while with the Rockies last season.
