The Chicago Cubs released left-handed pitcher Glendon Rusch on Thursday, after his 2006 season was cut short by a blood clot in his lung.
Rusch was hospitalized on Sept. 12, after experiencing shortness of breath and a sharp chest pain when he hopped on a treadmill to run.
