The Rockies moved forward on a deal that would send Shawn Chacon to the Yankees for a minor-leaguer capable of contributing next season. Chacon has made just one start since returning from a hamstring injury, and will likely have to prove his health before a deal goes through.

The Yankees are looking to acquire another starter due to injuries their rotation has suffered.
