Blue Jays G.M. J.P. Ricciardi dismissed reports Monday that the Jays have narrowed their talent search to free-agent starter Tony Armas, Jr.

Yesterday, he told the Toronto Sun that there was "some interest" in the 28-year-old Venezuelan, who went 9-12 last season with a 5.03 ERA in 30 starts with Washington in 2006.

"We have no involvement with Armas," Ricciardi told the Toronto Star, while politely declining to reveal which, if any, starting arms the team is 'involved' with.
