The Boston Red Sox today activated righthander Curt Schilling from the 15-day disabled list. Infielder Kevin Youkilis was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket following Sunday's game at Baltimore and righthander Scott Cassidy was today outrighted to Pawtucket. Senior Vice President/General Manager Theo Epstein made the announcement. Schilling has missed the last 69 games with a right ankle bone bruise and made five rehab appearances with Pawtucket, the first two outings as a starter and the last three as a reliever. He posted no record and a 3.00 ERA (1 ER/3.0 IP) in the three relief outings, walking none, striking out four and limiting opponents to a .231 batting average out of the bullpen. He went 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (6 ER/10.0 IP) in his two rehab starts.
