Second baseman Alfonso Soriano missed Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays to be with his wife in Panama for the upcoming birth of their third child. Soriano flew to Panama after Saturday night's 12-10 win over the Blue Jays. Mark DeRosa replaced Soriano in Sunday's lineup. An American League All-Star, Soriano will fly to Detroit for Tuesday night's game. Soriano is batting .275 with 21 homers and 56 RBI.
