One of the premier defensive first basemen of his generation, J.T. Snow announced his retirement from the major leagues on Thursday after 15 seasons with four teams. Snow will move into the Giants' front office, where he will serve in numerous capacities. Among them are spring training instructor, minor league roving instructor, broadcaster and serving as an advisor to general manager Brian Sabean.
