The Los Angeles Dodgers didn't wait long to replace Greg Maddux with the signing of former San Francisco Giants ace Jason Schmidt to a three year deal. The preliminary deal is worth a reportedly $47 million.

Schmidt went 11-9 with a 3.59 ERA last season with the Giants.
