Several sources told ESPNdeportes.com that Manny Acta, third base coach of the Mets, will be named manager of the Washington Nationals.

The official announcement is expected to occur at a news conference during this week's general managers' meetings in Naples, Fla.

Acta, who has been a candidate to be a manager the past five seasons, joined the Mets in 2005.
