The Philadelphia Phillies are keeping tabs on what happens with free-agent Jon Lester this week.

Philadelphia isn't in the mix to sign Lester, but where he lands will help set the trade market for Cole Hamels.

If Lester signs with the San Francisco Giants, that leaves the Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox in need of an ace and could help the Phillies get a nice return for the left-hander.
